How Rotary serves locally

That community-wide commitment is also reflected in the Rotary Club of Sandy Springs’ own service projects and partnerships. Our members volunteer in hands-on efforts that support families, students, educators, and neighbors across Sandy Springs.

Through local food support efforts, including service with organizations such as Solidarity Sandy Springs and the Community Assistance Center, our club helps address immediate needs in the community. These volunteer opportunities put Rotary members directly alongside the nonprofits and neighbors working every day to make Sandy Springs stronger.

Vision To Learn

Our local involvement also includes Vision To Learn, a program that helps provide vision screenings, eye exams, and eyeglasses for students in need. By helping children receive the glasses they need, this effort supports classroom confidence, student participation, and learning readiness.

It is one more example of how Rotary service can make a direct and lasting difference in a child’s daily life and future success.

Teacher Appreciation

Each year, the club also hosts its Teacher Appreciation event, recognizing outstanding educators from Sandy Springs schools. This annual tradition gives us an opportunity to celebrate the teachers who make a lasting impact on students, families, and the future of our community.

Honoring educators is an important part of our local service because strong schools and strong communities go hand in hand.
